We saw an opportunity to re-design the landing page for Zig Kinetica. We wanted to tell the story in a way that truly brought the shoe to life. The existing site used restricted components that did not fulfil the potential of the great assets created by the global Reebok team. The sole purpose of this redesign was to showcase these assets as well as offering a better user journey and to elevate the ‘story’ of Zig Kinetica.
PITCH SITE DESIGN
The site will potentially be created using the latest webGL high performance rendering. This would then be i-Framed within Reebok main ecom site. Not only will this create a better interactive experience, this will also allow us to monitor user behaviour using heat maps.
As the user scrolls through the site, the Zig Kinetica video will animate frame-by frame, giving the user full control over the site/animation, creating a parallax effect. The overall design is ‘unified’. The backgrounds blend into each section.
VIDEO SHOWCASE
The site begins with an introduction about the product. When the user interacts with the shoe, a combination of ‘glitch’ effects and ‘lightning’ animates to create “energy”. The scrolling video section allows the user to have full control of the animation. As the user scrolls down, the video will animate with text creating a ‘parallax’ effect. The design finishes with the ‘sign-up’ form. The product appears as part of the footer.
